Castrovillari's i-Fest 2024 Line-up Includes World Premiere of Marcelle Abela's 'America's Woman'

Italy's Castrovillari i-Fest International Film Festival (September 5-15) has unveiled its 2024 line-up, which includes the world premiere of the feature film America's Woman. The documentary is written and directed by Marcelle Abela, and co-produced with Charles Thompson. The i-Fest film festival is being held in media partnership with RAI Cinema, the Italian Film Institute, and the Calabria Film Commission.

America's Woman revolves around a mysterious woman, overlooked by historians, who had a profound influence on George Washington, his vision for America, and its independence - an influence that commenced when he was the leader of the Continental Army and later on as the first President of the United States. A journey into the heart of America's past and future, America's Woman chronicles a vision that could deeply influence the nation's need for healing and unity. It is also the first film to explore in depth the relationship between this mysterious woman and George Washington.
