CREATION, the poetic experimental short film by Marcelle Abela, has won Best Editing at the 5th European International Film Festival 2019 that is being held in Moscow, Russia. The film, which explores the conflicting nature of creation, will have its official Russian premiere at the festival awards night on September 28, 2019.
This is the third award for Creation. Earlier this year, the film won Best Narrative Short at the 2nd Festival International de Courts-Metrage d'Auteurs in Quebec, Canada. It was also awarded Best Music at the 2019 Top Indie Film Awards in Tokyo, Japan, with the score of the Australian composer Peter Cavallo and violin solo performed by the British string instrumentalist Joni Fuller. The final sound mix of Creation was done by the Serbian sound engineer Mirko Sukovic, motion graphics and art were the work of the VFX artist Antonia Harris. The executive producer of the film was Mariella Delia.
