CREATION wins Best Narrative
The poetic experimental film CREATION has won Best Narrative Short at the 2nd Festival International de Courts-Metrage d'Auteurs 2019 that was held in Quebec, Canada in June. The film, which explores the inherently conflicting nature of creation, will be receiving its Canadian premiere at the festival awards night on November 9, 2019, which will be held at the Barberivain Cultural Center of Sainte-Barbe, Quebec.
This is the second award for Creation, written by the Maltese-American director Marcelle Abela. Earlier this year, the film won Best Music in Tokyo, Japan, with the score of the Australian composer Peter Cavallo and violin solo performed by the British string instrumentalist Joni Fuller. The final sound mix of Creation was done by the Serbian sound engineer Mirko Sukovic, motion graphics were the work of the Maltese-American VFX artist Antonia Harris. The executive producer of the film was Mariella Delia.
